SEPTEMBER 2007 UPDATE

Kathy and I are preparing for a European tour in October that will highlight the relationship between worship, and loving and blessing those around us who are in need – restoring passion for God and rebuilding lives. We’ll have a new CD with that theme which we will be introducing on this tour! For twelve years we’ve focused our involvement in worship around the passage in James 1:27 that equates pure love for God, and how we treat fatherless and widows. We are now entering an even more focused season of action toward this end: to bring healing to the nations in greater levels through worship.

The “Restore Tour” will have three phases: worshiping in ancient places, benefit concerts that will raise funds for fatherless and widows, and finally, delivering those offerings to projected ministry locations in Romania and Kosovo. Our tour will go to Kolding/Denmark, Kristiansand/Norway, Brussels/ Belgium, Nice/France, Prague/Czech Republic, Sighisoara/Romania and Jakova/Kosovo. We will stage two worship events in each of the first six cities. The first evening will be by invitation to local church and ministry worship leaders to join us and the “great cloud of witnesses” in a church or cathedral of historic significance.

By raising our voices in acoustic worship, we will affirm the reawakening of passionate and vibrant praise and worship toward our awesome God! On the second night, in a more open venue, we will have a multimedia worship celebration with the area’s churches. There we will not only highlight that Jesus has great life and newness to bring to them, but that He wants to do the same through them for fatherless and widows. We will be taking offerings that will go exclusively to proposed projects in Romania and Kosovo. Following the concert portion of the tour, we will go to those countries to bless the widows and orphans with the raised funds and also have worship concerts.

While our primary focus will be in raising funds for orphans and widows, we are also investing in the next generation of worship leaders. The “Restore Tour” band includes musicians and logistic staff from Norway, Denmark, Wales, Netherlands, Switzerland, Italy, Brazil and the U.S. Seventeen of us in all, including Ole and Ivar who have been my personal assistants here in Hawaii! Our desire is to mentor and invest in each one, as we believe this message of worship and benevolence is key to bringing life into difficult places in Europe and around the world. It is our dream and goal to cover all their expenses and honorarium in advance of the 18 day tour, so that all offerings can be dedicated solely to orphans and widows.

This will be the largest budget we have ever worked with for a ministry tour: $100,000! These funds would be to cover air and ground transportation, meals, lodging and honorarium. Please consider if you could support this cause through a donation, as we are confident this investment will bring restoration and great blessing into the lives of individuals and eventually into the continent of Europe. Should you decide join us in this, your donation can be processed for U.S. Tax Deductible receipts payable to “Alabaster Ministries” and mail to us at:
