Abundant God

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

This Christmas, Kathy and I join all the world in celebrating the most amazing gift ever given throughout the history of mankind. Just listened to a radio program with people sharing what they felt was their worst Christmas gifts, and if and how they “regifted” these gifts. It was hilarious, and certainly made me wonder if I’ve ever given a gift that was so not appreciated it was given away as a "re-gift"! Haha, well there was the time I gave Kathy a vacuum cleaner, and as a result of her reaction, I have never forgotten it, and have seriously reconsidered every gift I buy in light of her reaction that Christmas morning! Not really sure if she regifted it!!

What amazes me, is that this season of Christmas around the globe, a season that has come to be associated with giving, kindness and, well (sounds a bit trite I know), world peace, has as its genesis the most awesome gift ever given, God’s only son Jesus Christ. It is so often forgotten that all the Christmas celebrate hoopla, began with the enunciation in the heavenlies of the birth of a Savior, a King, a Messiah, God Almighty Himself come to earth. It’s no coincidence to me that the world’s economy actually finds its greatest apex every year at Christmas time. Of course, people may call it “shameless greed”, but I call it, the celebration of the abundant gift of God effect!!

The most outstanding characteristic of our God is this: He is creator of all, the owner of all the earth and the heavens, and yet He Himself was delighted to share it all with mankind, and to give to everyone the potential for ownership in this amazing creation, and in its designer’s celebration of extravagant abundance.

For the past 5 years I have been taking time to ponder what would be the subject of my next recording, and without fail, every time I asked this of God, He would point me to His awesome creation, and say, “What do you see?”. Everywhere I looked, oceans, mountains, stars and skies full of galaxies, plants with huge seed pods, and so on. It was as though God was saying, “THIS IS WHO I AM, I AM A GOD OF RICH ABUNDANCE, AND I WANT TO SHARE IT WITH YOU” Wow, i’s overwhelming, and so…….

Kathy and I want to introduce to you my latest music recording called “ABUNDANT”. We are making it available in traditional CD format, as well as Downloads. Our prayer is that as we close the year 2018 with this amazing celebration of giving and the generous Spirit of Giving inspired by God Almighty, may the year 2019 be marked by God’s rich abundant blessing upon your lives, your ministries, your families and your vision for the future. May His abundant blessing abide on all of you, for the Glory of our awesome God!
