Seated

"But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved— and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.”

Ephesians 2:4-7

It is difficult to embrace the all encompassing beauty of this Word to the Ephesians, and to all of us who are believers, but we do!!

It is our God who initiated the redemption of mankind, and did so absolutely completely, and then sat down, seating us together with Him in heavenly places, in order to reveal throughout the ages the “immeasurable” richness of His grace and kindness toward us. I dedicate this song not only to those of us in the church here on earth, but to those of our loved ones who have gone before us, and are now a part of the “ages to come” cloud of witnesses who see in greater measure the Author of this great kindness, and who sit with Him in heavenly places.
